IMIS are delighted to be sponsoring a guest speaker on Thursday 18 May as part of the Bournemouth University Festival of Media Production. BU is an IMIS Accredited Institution.
During the afternoon, young British independent writer/director and IMIS member, Elliott Hasler will take part in a session about diversity in film and television. Following a presentation at 14.00 by keynote speaker Dumi Senda from the BBC, Elliott has been invited to talk about his upcoming debut feature, Vindication Swim, which depicts the incredible story of Mercedes Gleitze, the first British woman to swim the English Channel.
Then at 19.00 Elliott will give a presentation about the making of Vindication Swim, his calling card feature length film, which was filmed in the English Channel.
