IMIS were delighted sponsor a guest speaker on Thursday 18 May 2023 as part of the Bournemouth University Festival of Media Production. BU is an IMIS Accredited Institution.
During the afternoon, young British independent writer/director and IMIS member, Elliott Hasler took part part in a session about diversity in film and television. Following a presentation by keynote speaker Dumi Senda from the BBC, Elliott talked about his debut feature, Vindication Swim, which depicts the incredible story of Mercedes Gleitze, the first British woman to swim the English Channel.
Then at 19.00 Elliott gave a presentation about the making of Vindication Swim.
The evnt was open to IMIS members with free admission.
