Film Gauges and Soundtracks Wallchart



This wallchart illustrates the various film gauges introduced for professional and amateur cinematography. They cover the complete history of the cinema, form 1896 to present time. The sizes range from the small 3mm instrumentation film, to the large 70mm frames of dual-film Imax 3-D. Special attention has been given to the evolution of the 35mm format. Also shown are the many types of soundtrack, both optical and magnetic from early sound-on-film optical track made by Eugene Lauste in 1912, to the latest Dolby digital system
